By developing a robust mix of technical capabilities and human skills, our goal is to prepare students holistically for the future of work and life.
Continues learning
It is well understood that the world that we live in is under constant evolution. Various technologies present themselves at every turn of the history. To move on ahead, you have to learn to learn new things quickly and somewhat deeply. At Tinkerhub, we offer structured learning paths with a hands-on approach, regular updates, and a supportive community to help individuals learn new skills and knowledge
Problem solving
Problem-solving skills are like your backpack – the more tools you have in it (different approaches!), the better prepared you are to tackle any challenge. By brainstorming solutions and trying different things, you'll find the best way to ace that project (and maybe even have some time for fun!). Almost all learning programs we conducted so far involved coding at core. After all, every line of code is problem-solving, isn't it?
Critical Thinking
The ability to analyse information objectively and make reasoned judgments is crucial in the world of information overload. We emphasise teaching you how to think critically - questioning assumptions, evaluating evidence, going back to first principles and arriving at logical conclusions. Critical thinking skills are invaluable not just for coding, but for navigating life's complexities.
Creativity
You know, it's no secret that kids have a creative streak that they tend to shed in school, owing to judgment, peer pressure, and parental pressure. We really believe that creativity sets us apart and that's why we've made it our major focus.
Creativity is not just about coding; it's about craftsmanship and the ability to approach problems from unique perspectives. True craftsmanship lies in the ability to combine technical skills with creative expression, resulting in elegant, efficient, and visually appealing solutions.
Cognitive Flexibility
The modern workplace and society require the ability to adapt to evolving circumstances. We help you build cognitive flexibility by exposing you to diverse challenges and knowledge paradigms that require shifting perspectives. Interdisciplinary learning allows makers to see beyond the boundaries of a single subject
Imagine using coding to control a light sculpture you designed (art + computer science), or incorporating historical research into a 3D-printed model of a famous building (history + engineering).
Resilience
Overcoming obstacles and persevering in the face of challenges is the hallmark of a resilient person. Our methodologies help instill resilience by creating an environment where students can safely make mistakes, learn from them, and try again. We teach strategies for bouncing back from setbacks and disappointments. Together, we can make mistakes and start from square one again.
Failing is learning (fast). Period.
The above 6 are the skills we have identified and will be giving primary focus for this year. Given the same, there will be other skills that drop in as subsidiary skills or bi-products of the activities organized. This is an ever-evolving document based on the need of the hour.
