This page will help you get clarity on why the TinkerHub Campus Community exists, what it entails, its structure, and how we plan to achieve our vision.

🧑‍🔧 Campus Community is specifically designed for college students who are passionate about learning, making, and teaching. We aim to create an environment where students can manifest their true potential.

Why Campus Communities?

The perfect combination(after pazhampori and b-roast) is- community and tinkering. Think about the times you felt fascinated by how the tiniest of things work around you- like how fast chargers work fast, why seat belt alarm doesn't ring as long as someone isn't seated in passenger seat, why line followers move only through black- oh wait...can it move through other colors too??, how planes fly and bulb glows?

Makers who designed products we use everyday were once curious chaps just figuring out how things work, why things didn't work, and what can be made better. Now not everyone will have the individual bandwidth to make something from scratch, and why do it when there is a whole group of you all wanting to do the same thing, but in different ways. Campus communities are to offer you a safe space where you can ask stupid questions, make stupid projects, sometimes useful ones, and do anything and everything that helps you become a better curious maker.

In return, you also pay back by helping sustain a community within and outside your campus where more students get opportunities to grow the way you did and better!

Members aka Makers that we engage in the campus get access to knowledge and experience beyond the constraints of curriculum and academia. In collaboration with industry experts, community members, and thought leaders, we have identified a set of skills that future makers need. We call these skills Foundational Skills.
