Campus Council
The Campus Council is the body that governs the operations of the campus communities under the guidance of the TinkerHub Foundation. The board consists of 6 members — 3 representatives from the TinkerHub Foundation and 3 student representatives. The Council acts as an independent entity but aligns with the mission and vision of TinkerHub Foundation.
Campus Council - Purpose & Responsibilities
The Campus Council serves as a direct link between the campuses and TinkerHub Foundation, ensuring that activities and initiatives are relevant and beneficial to students and facilitating the smooth functioning of all campus communities.
It provides a platform for students to share their ideas and suggestions, express their concerns and queries, and and actively participate in the decision-making process that shapes the future of TinkerHub's campus initiatives. This structure empowers student leaders, making the organization of events more transparent, student-centric, and responsive to the evolving needs of the campus communities.

Campus Lead Selection and Tenure
Campus leads are chosen by Campus Council and Foundation based on their performance, energy in campus initiatives, and spirit during camps.
The tenure for a campus lead to serve in the campus council is 6 months. And can serve the campus council for maximum 2 terms in their students life.
During the first term, to ensure that the smooth operations, one lead serves for a full year, while the other two rotate to allow more leads to participate.
Functions of Campus Council
The governance and execution of Campus communities fully rests with the Council and it has the final say to revisit the mission or revoke the campus communities if needed.
The Council shall set the mission and vision each year which is to be interpreted and aligned with by the respective Campus Communities
The Campus Council shall meet bi-weekly on a pre-scheduled time and review the progress & plans for all the campus communities. The highlights will be presented in the next TownHall.
The Council will take decisions on planning and coordinating campus initiatives during times of need.
Council will guide the evaluation of campus activities, rewarding best performers, and finding solutions for inactive campuses, and provide required assistance for all campus communities.
Council will manage the yearly budget allocated for campus community activities.
Decision Making and Issue Resolution
Every discussion around campuses that needs intervention involves the council.
Decisions are taken collectively by the 6 members of the council.
Any issue in campus that involves the campus leads and needs external intervention shall be escalated to the council at council@tinkerhub.org.
Any action or violation of the Campus Community guidelines or code of conduct falls under the responsibilities of the Council. All the remedial processes, investigation and resolution shall be the responsibility of the Council Members.
Any member who wishes to raise or report a violation of Campus Communities values shall complain by writing a mail to council@tinkerhub.org. The details of the informant shall always be kept confidential.
In the case of conflicts regarding decisions, Council members shall vote and decide on the course of action. In the rare cases that might arise, the Council may be dissolved by the TinkerHub Board following due processes.
📅 Meetings and Communication
The Council holds bi-weekly online meetings to catch up on campus activities.
Campus leads can tag any or all council members whenever they need help or guidance.
All meetings shall be recorded and the Minutes of Meetings (MoMs) shared with respective councils.
The Council will present highlights of their reviews in the next TownHall.
This structure ensures a balanced representation between the Foundation and campus leads, promotes regular rotation of student leadership, and provides clear guidelines for decision-making, issue resolution, and ongoing communication within the TinkerHub community. The bi-weekly meetings and ability to tag council members for help ensure continuous support and guidance for campus leads.
