Theory of Change
Our Grounding Truths
A better tomorrow is only possible when people around us have a better life and when everyone collectively works towards a common good.
We live in a world where thought leaders even struggle to define the future. And it results in significant uncertainty for young people to navigate their paths forward.
To manifest their true potential as innovators, professionals, artists or changemakers, people need to have a maker mindset, and a profound understanding of yourself and the ever-evolving landscape around you. Traditional education, while valuable, can't fully equip you to navigate the challenges of tomorrow.
Mission Statement
By 2025, cultivate a thriving maker culture in Kerala to ignite creativity and equip 10,000 young makers with the skills to innovate and shape the future.
We achieve this by enabling through community-based learning models and coding as a tool.
The pillars
Learning Paradigm
Build a learning culture in campus that connect, inspire, and engage students. Enabling hands-on learning and inter disciplinary learning will empower students to be makers.
Community
The power lies in an ecosystem of makers that nurtures a sense of togetherness, fosters a deep sense of belonging, and embrace the practice of paying it forward.
Doing Good
Witnessing how even small actions can positively impact someone's life, fosters empathy and compassion. Volunteering can be a lot of fun too, especially when you're working with a cause you care about and are surrounded by positive people.
Opportunities
While career development is an important aspect of growth, it is not limited to securing a job. It also involves encouraging people to solve real-world problems, innovate in scale, explore their creative potential or build businesses that last.
Philosophy
Cause Above Self
We put the greater good beyond direct personal gain. One person alone can make a change, but a united group of change-makers can bring a remarkable lasting impact to the world we live in. Don't settle for individual goals – join us in making a difference that resonates across communities and generations, through the power of collective good.
Beyond Career
Just like a tree needs strong roots to thrive, we need more than just job skills to succeed in life. In this changing world, new skills like communication, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence are essential, and we focus on growing these life skills through multidisciplinary learning. Ultimately we want all of you become a well-rounded individual, able to adapt to different situations, think critically, and understand the world better through different perspectives.
Coding Is A Super Power
At TinkerHub, we believe coding is more than just a skill—it's a powerful tool for developing problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Whether or not you pursue a career in tech, understanding technology can be a foundation for success in any field you choose. By learning to code, you equip yourself with the tools to innovate, create, and excel in an ever-changing world.
Get Your Hands Dirty
Learn through action- Don't wait for a job offer; you already have the tools to create, innovate, and make an impact. Build your own projects, teach others, solve real problems, and even start your own ventures. In the beginning, you might feel confused or scared, but you’ll grow and understand more with each step you take. We believe in hands-on learning and the power of sharing knowledge.
Never Give Up
Hard times come and go. The market changes, and learning can be tough. But never give up. We encourage resilience and perseverance. Keep going despite setbacks, and view failures as opportunities to learn and grow.
Hakuna Matata
Walls are meant to be broken- We ensure that EVERYONE feels welcome, safe, and respected and support each other to ensure no one falls behind. We also recognize that skills are often seen as a measure of a person’s value to an organization. But if you’re worried that you don’t have a top-rated skill, just say Hakuna Matata—no worries! At TinkerHub, learning is accessible to everyone, and we believe that anyone can learn anything.
